Colboloy™ Blue Nickel Cobalt wire, like Elgiloy® wire, is a unique alloy that possesses beneficial performance characteristics. Forgiving by nature to fracture and stress, Colboloy™ Blue allows intricate bending and, if desired, may be heat treated after formation to increase tensile strength and resiliency dramatically (10 minutes at 900°).

Excellent for use in archwires, it is also superb for use in removable and functional appliances. Colboloy™ is the preferred wire for many professional laboratory technicians as well as orthodontists practicing Ricketts® and Bioprogressive® techniques.
